I'd say like a few hours to write. I had to write three essays and had 2 english professors, 1 cc transfer counselor, 2 accepted transfer to the program i was applying to, and the uni's transfer counselor read my prompts. I suck at that stuff so I made sure I started early. I'm a really slow write though. I figure I'll spend another 5 hours revising it tomorrow, get it reviewed again, and then submit my application. But the personal statement is used for scholarship consideration.
