The concert took place at Deer Creek the weekend after class started, so it was perfect timing to do this assignment. This was the first time I have seen Pearl, and I thought it was worthy of writing a report on. If one has ever been a fan of Pearl Jam, they of course know that Eddie Vedder is the lead singer, and right beside him with his wicked lead guitar playing, Stone Gossard. The other guys on the strings are, Mike McCready. I chose this one because I wanted to see some of the talent that my peers have in the music realm, and also it was one of the only concerts I have been able to attend because I usually work at night. It was impressive to hear pieces composed by students.
I was able to listen to both the Symphony Band, under the direction of Dr. Sean Murray. They presented a tremendous performance comprised of pieces by J. Chance, Frank Ticheli, Samuel Hazo as well as a wide variety of other authors. The concert band opened up with, Apparitions, by Brian Balmages, which was a song with a very mysterious intro with the percussion. The song is later developed into a soprano winds melody which was very well balanced with its counter and support. Unfortunately before a very beautiful, yet eerie flute solo.
The concert I attended was a classic music performed by the Chamber Orchestra. They presented their winter concert. It started at 8 pm at University of California San Diego and lasted about an hour and half. The concert was conducted by David Medine.
It is a classy, clean and fancy looking and there are different levels of seating. Furthermore, the seats are very comfortable and the crowd is very repressions. I Just felt like I was walking in cathedral in Europe. In my opinion, this is one of the best theatres in San Jose. He began his performance with 2 Impromptus.
Only writers know much about writing can give out such useful and interesting contents, kris must be a good writer as well!!!!!!! Highly recommend this course, for those who are in need to learn writing but lack of an English background.
