Katie Cunningham , Manhattanville College, returned this semester to continue the professional development she initiated with the 6 th grade science teachers at FLMS. Professional development for teachers has increasingly become a significant factor in improving schools and for developing joyful learning practices. Based on the initial phase from last semester and teacher input, this spring professional development series focused on classroom-based coaching and personalized feedback that allows the teachers to maximize instruction time with students while also receiving meaningful and specific feedback on their teaching.
