The practical part of the course was really helpful where ones get a chance to implement all the knowledge gain during the lectures and through self-studies. I have learnt that innovation requires collaboration, creativity, practical implementation and added value to the product. And this task becomes much easier if you have an interdisciplinary team working for a unified goal.
Our group consisted of five members. My role was to, first of all, suggest and eventually choose a topic upon the agreement of the other team members. Furthermore, I had to clarify what we were going to do, as only two of us had actually read the requirements prior to our first group meeting. This was quite time consuming regarding the allocation of the tasks. Besides the fact, we were not complete on our agreed-upon time and therefore had to wait until we actually could get started. The division of the tasks itself went well, as everyone agreed on what he or she would have to do. We clarified what was not clear and each team member started working on his or her task.
The first would focus on Update 1 and another group would work on Update 2 and the remainder of the team would work on the Final. It is important to note that although we separated into 3 smaller groups, we were still one group and would help when needed and provide feedback to each component of the Problem. Our group focused on creating a positive, ego free, respectful environment which made for a positive and collaborative environment.
Project Individual Reflection Paper and Project Group Through the completion of my project group in the assessment course, I have gained an immense amount of knowledge and a plethora of assessment practice. I was pretty overwhelmed back then because this is not an easy assignment that can be done alone and that I have to work with someone else to ensure that our group gets to achieve the minimum target set by the lecturer. The fact that I am not a person who is very out-going and sociable terrifies me as I am going to have to work with a group of people I just met on that day.
